Hello friend,

I hope and pray you are well. Today the Eastern Orthodox Church is celebrating Easter. I have been living in Georgia country with my husband and children for almost 8 years and since Easter and Christmas in Georgia is celebrated according to the Julian calendar, not the Gregorian one, we have always been celebrating these Christian feasts twice. So we have two Easter and two Christmas celebrations each year. The most important thing though is that we praise and worship Christ for what He has done for us.

Here is my weekly encouragement.

Weekly Biblical Encouragement

As we enter a new week, may we be reminded of God's surpassing holiness. In 1 Peter 1:16, Peter writes "be holy yourselves in all your conduct, since it is written, 'You shall be holy, for I am holy.'"

Our Creator is infinitely set apart, wholly other in His perfect purity and righteousness. And because He first loved us, calling us out of darkness into His marvelous light, we have been made new creations in Christ. Therefore we are called not to conformity with the passing fashions of this world but to lives dedicated wholly to Him.

This week pursue moral and spiritual purity, fleeing all that displeases our holy God. Live counter to the corrupt patterns around you by obeying Christ in thoughts, words and deeds. As we reflect His glory and character each day, may His holiness be what sanctifies, strengthens and sustains us by His grace.
